Tell us a little about yourself….

I am originally from the UK and moved to Sydney in 2000 with my family. I have four children; Frankie, Asher, Reece & Jude and have been married to Simon for 10 years. I love food, coffee, exercise, organisation. I opened Tempo Freshwater in February 2023 and Tempo Seaforth in March 2024 and love running the business'.

What drew you to become Reformer Pilates teacher?

I have worked in the fitness space for 13 years. I spent the first five years of my career working as a Personal Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach. It was after my second pregnancy that I discovered Matwork Pilates and decided to study the modality so I could give my clients more Core exercises. Reformer Pilates felt like a natural progression for me as it blended Pilates and Strength training. I have been teaching Reformer Pilates for six years now and love that I am continually learning and still feel challenged professionally during every shift.

What can we expect from one of your classes?

A seamless flow that incorporates lots of movement patterns working in all planes of movement. My classes always include the props to ensure you get the most from every session. I love training legs myself so my classes always have a keen focus on lower body especially glutes.

Tell us a little about yourself….

I grew up in Terrey Hills along with my Mum, Dad and sisters. Daily walks, ocean swims and backyard margies are a small list of my favourite things to do especially in the summer time. One of my biggest dislikes are green peas, you’ll never see me eating those, it’s about the texture.

What drew you to become Reformer Pilates teacher?

I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 10 years and teaching reformer for almost 3 years. Reformer Pilates is one of my favourite forms of exercise and has been ever since I was a client. I loved coming to classes as a client, I learnt a lot about my body not only the physical aspect but more importantly the positive impact Pilates has on my mental health. I wanted to share the love and importance of Reformer Pilates and in general the movement of our bodies and how it helps our mental health.

What can we expect from one of your classes?

Coming to my classes you can always expect a core burner sprinkled throughout the session, we share a laugh, talk about our weekends all while feeling a spicy sizzly burn.

Tell us a little about yourself….

I moved to Sydney with my partner in January 2024, I was previously living in London but originally from Gloucestershire. My hobbies include travel, running, and when I’m not working I love to be in the kitchen making a mess and experimenting with new recipes.

What drew you to become Reformer Pilates teacher?

Living in London my life was very busy, I was constantly on the move and I believed that in order for a workout to be a ‘good one’ it had to be sweaty, I had to be out of breath and my heart had to be racing. When I tried reformer Pilates my body was challenged in so many ways, slowing movements down, moving with a purpose and that addictive Pilates burn soon got me hooked on a different style of workout. The concentration required in Pilates allowed me to shut out the noise of a busy life and i quickly became obsessed, I now teach reformer so that I can share how great Pilates is with as many people as possible.

What can we expect from one of your classes?

You can expect a strong flow, lots of options to modify and progress, many pulses and of course that addictive Pilates burn!!

Tell us a little about yourself….

I’m a Northern Beaches local and have lived here all my life.  I have two beautiful daughters, Erica and Emilia, we’re a super hardworking three person team.  I love everything fitness, I run and swim long distances, weight train, the occasional Triathlon and, of course, lots of Pilates.

What drew you to become Reformer Pilates teacher?

I started participating in reformer classes for my own body and well being.  I found that the benefits and body transformation is without parallel.  I was already instructing many different disciplines and I quickly decided to add Reformer Pilates and teach something amazing that I absolutely believe in.

What can we expect from one of your classes?

An energetic and engaging experience.

Tell us a little about yourself….

I’m originally from the UK but am now lucky enough to live in Avalon Beach. I’ve got three kids, I love nature and I can’t go a day without some kind of movement. Movement soothes my soul, and that’s why I love pilates.

What drew you to become Reformer Pilates teacher?

I've been working as a jeweller/metal worker for the last 13 years and I was getting some back pain. A few years ago, I started pilates to help with this and not only did it sort out my back pain, it gave me a new career too. I was a personal trainer before having kids so going back into the health and fitness world seemed like a natural progression for me once all my kids were settled in school.

What can we expect from one of your classes?

I like to mix things up a bit. I love a combinations of strength and stability within a class, a full body work out with the occasional cardio blast as well.

I’m from Brazil and moved to Australia in 2011. I’m married and a mum of two. We live right next to the beach and that’s our favourite spot in summer we also love winter and try to go snowboarding every chance we get.

What drew you to become Reformer Pilates teacher?

Since I was a little girl I loved sports! I loved gymnastics and ballet and lot of sports. I now love anything to do with fitness so when i found and fell in love with Pilates I knew that I wanted to become a teacher

What can we expect from one of your classes?

Sometimes you will find a more restorative class or a more intense class with lots of pulses and that slow burn, I love adding booty exercises and lunges, anything that involves burning your lower body. I like to focus on form as well, that mind and body connection makes a huge difference when doing Pilates. You will leave the class feeling good.

Tell us a little about yourself….
I’ve been in the dance and fitness industry for over 15 years, beginning as a professional dancer. Since then, I’ve transitioned into personal training and have earned my certifications in fitness (cert 3 and 4), as well as qualifications in barre and reformer Pilates. I’m also a mum to my beautiful boy, and in my spare time, you’ll often find me at the beach, hunting for the best coffee spots, or performing with a samba group at weddings and events.

What drew you to become Reformer Pilates teacher?

What can we expect from one of your classes?

You can expect high-energy classes that target the full body, featuring supersets that bring that satisfying burn! I like to incorporate layers that seamlessly flow together, keeping the intensity up while making it fun. I’m all about a great flow!

What can we expect from one of your classes?

From a young age, I developed a deep passion for health and fitness, especially through my dance background where Pilates was a key part of my training. After I transitioned from my dance career, I knew I wanted to continue in the fitness industry, using my experience to help others feel good about themselves. It’s incredibly rewarding to guide people in discovering their love for movement and seeing the positive impact it has on their lives

Tell us a little about yourself….

Hi I’m Paris! I’m new to the beaches but so far loving the lifestyle and community . When I’m not teaching you’ll find me swimming down at the beach, going on a speed walk with an almond cap in hand or training! Oh I also still experience “Pilates shakes”

What drew you to become Reformer Pilates teacher?

I was stuck in a bit of a rut during COVID and I was totally sick of my current job at the time. I loved Pilates and found that it was an outlet for me so I thought I’d take the leap and start teaching and I’m SO thankful I did- it’s been the best 2 years of my life

What can we expect from one of your classes?

I try to do something different every week! I love fun transitions and taking the class on a journey from start to finish. And pulses…lots of pulses haha

Tell us a little about yourself….

I grew up in Sweden and moved to Sydney in 2015, I’m married and have two kids. On a day off you will find me and my family at the beach, entertaining the kids at one of the many parks on the beaches and if I get some time without the kids I love a spicy marg!

What drew you to become Reformer Pilates teacher?

I started doing Reformer pilates after my daughter was born and was instantly amazed at how quickly my body got in to shape after two pregnancies and how good I felt physically and mentally after every class, it really made my day every day I got to go to class and that is how I knew I wanted to make my clients day by becoming an instructor myself.

It’s the absolute best when clients leave feeling a little bit stronger and happier.

What can we expect from one of your classes?

You can expect a slower, layered deep muscle burn with a pinch of cardio and sore abs and glutes the next day.
